St Lucia’s First and only Ferry Transfer To & From Your Resort

Your vacation in Saint Lucia begins five minutes away from Hewanorra Airport via an air-conditioned vehicle that brings you right to our luxurious boat.  Here you are greeted and seated either in the air-conditioned comfortable cabin or on the open-air upper deck.   The trip lasts between 90 minutes to 2 hours while you enjoy a breathtaking view of the amazing turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea and the exotic coast of Saint Lucia.

Complimentary wine, beer, champagne and mimosa’s are provide to adults, along with snacks, soft drinks and bottled water for everyone.

Ground transportation between the Airport and the Boat; and between the Boat and the Resorts are INCLUDED in our fares.

Ferry Transfer

NOW OFFERING “FAST TRACK – AIRPORT CONCIERGE SERVICE”  After selecting your seats and date(s) of travel you simply check the box “Fast Track” and it will be added to your order ($50 usd pp).  A Fast Track representative will meet you between the plane and the terminal by holding a sign with your name on it.  They will bring you to the front of the Immigration line, to baggage, then to the front of the Customs line, saving you time and getting your vacation started FAST!    This service is optional but highly recommended if your flight lands less than an hour and a half before the scheduled Ferry Departure Time.

DELAYED FLIGHT / MISSED CONNECTION INSURANCE

All Tickets are non-refundable, not transferable.     IF you purchase our Insurance, in the event your flight is delayed or you miss a connection causing you to miss the ferry, you will receive a full refund of the ferry fares OR you can transfer your reservation to a different date.   Also, when our Insurance is purchased, the Cancellation Notice requirement drops from 10 days to 4 days (the 10% cancellation penalty still applies, 90% is refunded).  The reduction in Cancellation Notice does not pertain to Groups of 6 or more.

A. In addition to the gorgeous views, fresh air, lively music, assortment of beer, wine, champagne, soft drinks and snacks, we also include Covid certified ground transportation to & from the boat, and to & from your accommodations (both typically take about 5 – 7 minutes).

A. For INCOMING Flights (“Arrivals”) IF you are purchasing the optional Fast Track (see FAQ Fast Track for more information)  you should be able to arrive at the Ferry within one hour of landing.   If you DON’T purchase the optional Fast Track allow two hours to go through the Immigration line, retrieve baggage, and clear the Customs line.  Sandals Guests should report (time permitting) to the Sandals Lounge to “freshen up” and obtain luggage tags from the Lounge Hosts.   You should then immediately proceed to the Southern Taxi Stand right next to the Sandals Lounge.  Non-Sandals Guests should proceed out of the only exit after Customs and the Southern Taxi stand is immediately in front of those doors.   They will have your names and bring you to the Ferry. The ride is a short five minutes to the boat and if you arrive early we’ll greet you with a cold beer, a glass of wine or champagne or your choice of soft drinks and you can relax on the boat until all guests have arrived.

For departing flights, when you’re traveling from your resort or accommodations to Hewanorra Airport pick a time that’s approximately four hours before your departure.   Fast Track Airport Expediting is also available as an option.

A. If your flight arrives more than two hours prior to the scheduled ferry departure, you can ask the taxi company to bring you to Island Breeze – a delightful oceanfront restaurant with outdoor seating that has good local food and drinks at very reasonable prices.    The taxi can also be scheduled to pick you up and bring you to the ferry at the proper time.   PLEASE NOTE that if you choose to do this we ask that you let us know and receive confirmation from us so that we can plan accordingly.   If you’re arriving early but less than two hours prior to our scheduled departure you can come to the boat and enjoy the crew and refreshments prior to departure.

A. We try to leave enough “buffer time” so that the occasional short delays are accounted for. You may choose to purchase our insurance for a refund of your fares when missing the Ferry due to flight delays.

A. The “Fast Track” rep meets you between the plane and the terminal (they’ll be holding a dry erase board with your name on it) and escorts you to the front of the Covid tent line, the front of the Immigrations line, to the baggage area, and then to the front of the Customs line – greatly reducing your time in the airport. This service costs $50 usd. If your flight is scheduled to arrive less than one hour before our scheduled departure you should absolutely purchase Fast Track.   Even with more time between your flight’s schedule time of arrival and the Ferry, Fast Track is an amazing time saving option that allows your vacation to start quickly & pleasurably.     Fast Track Satisfaction Guarantee:  In the event that all prior flights have cleared, and you’re seated towards the front of your plane, and you only bypass a few people on short lines – let us know and we’ll reimburse a portion of the fee.  We offer Fast Track for everyone’s benefit, and you’d rather have it and not need it then need it and not have it!

A. Yes – if your flight is scheduled to land an hour later (or take off an hour earlier) than previously booked guests, we may require this additional add-on to keep the boat on schedule.

A. Absolutely. The quicker you get to the boat , the sooner your vacation begins!

A. Our boat was specially selected to provide the most comfortable ride possible, however we do travel on the Caribbean Sea (which is technically part of the Atlantic Ocean) so there can be choppiness (front to back) but the design of the catamaran hull reduces the side to side motion that generally creates nausea. For people with mild issues, perhaps a half a Dramamine® would be appropriate, but be careful when mixing with alcohol. For people with high sensitivity we would recommend seeking other options. Note that the alternative ground transportation is a long and winding road, and the boat may be the better alternative at your own discretion.

A. Our staff ALWAYS greatly appreciates financial recognition for their outstanding service, however, the fare is all inclusive, and tips are 100% voluntary and never “expected” or implied. Note that the taxi drivers are independent from our staff and are compensated by us, but they too always appreciate recognition for a job well done. It’s our pleasure to serve you.

Important Policies

FunToSee Island reserves the right to amend pick up & departure times by +/- 30 minutes. We will notify you at our earliest opportunity prior to making changes, but may in some cases be less than 24 hours advance notice.

Re-booking Fee

Any changes requested by the Customer to the time or date of travel are subject to availability and approval by FunToSee Island Ltd. Changes cost $12.50 per person, per change.

Cancellation Policy 

You are required to provide us with Notice & Reason of Cancellation a minimum of 10 days PRIOR to your date of travel, and a 10% Cancellation “penalty” applies.  If you cancel with LESS THAN 10 days notice to the Company no refunds apply.     Under certain circumstances, at the sole discretion of FunToSee Island Ltd., we may offer to keep your reservation open for future use (subject to availability and subject to the coordination of our schedule).   All refunds are processed within seven (7) days of notification or scheduled travetime but may take up to thirty (30) days to appear in your account.

For groups of 6 or more, unless otherwise agreed in writing by FunToSee Island Ferry,  a minimum of 30 days notice is required to cancel, and a 50% cancellation fee applies.

Indemnity for Missed Flights

It is hereby agreed and understood that in the event that a paying Guest or Guests on board FunToSee Island Ltd.’s (the Company) vessel miss a flight and need to reschedule due to mechanical failure of the Company’s vessel (or the sole gross negligence of it’s management or crew that were reasonably foreseeable and reasonably avoidable) the Company will be responsible for all reasonable incurred extra expenses for which the Company is legally liable. The reasonable (as determined by the Company) incurred extra expenses for which the Company is legally liable is limited to overnight accommodations, rebooking fees, ground transportation and food & beverage. Guest agrees to accept this reimbursement as full & final compensation, and to the fullest extent of St. Lucian & maritime law(s) waive(s) any right or claim to any punitive damages or other costs or damages not expressly described herein.

In the event of actual or the threat of hurricanes, weather related issues, volcanic activity, acts of god, war, civil commotion, acts of government (whether St. Lucia or other international country(ies)) including by not limited to Covid related travel bans or interruption of travel; or other such events or conditions that are outside of the control of the Company no such compensation will apply, and the Guest(s) assume all such liability & expenses incurred.  It is further agreed and understood that the Company’s liability shall be excess to any applicable insurance available to the Guest(s) and applies only to those expenses not covered by such insurance.

The maximum amount of indemnity is limited to $1,000.00 usd per customer.

Waiver

Any Guest(s) who book transfer with less than four hours between hotel pickup and their scheduled flight automatically waives any compensation or reimbursement extended herein and assumes full responsibility for any costs, expenses or damages incurred.

The purchase or provision of Fast Track &/or any similar type airport concierge services through the Company or any 3rd party does not extend or alter the Company’s liability.

All terms contained herein are subject to the laws of Saint Lucia and any resolution of disputes are subject to determination by the courts of Saint Lucia.
